Texans miss playoffs, but J.J. Watt makes emphatic case for MVP

The Houston Texans failed to make it into the playoffs when they were eliminated on the final day of the regular season.But J.J. Watt made one thing abundantly clear: he’s a viable candidate for NFL MVP. It’s probably more likely to go to Tony Romo or Aaron Rodgers or someone who’s headed for postseason, but it was still a remarkable run. The defensive end had a historic season, one in which he even managed to catch TD passes as a tight end.
