Early Saturday morning, as the Washington Capitals’ chartered plane descends into Pittsburgh International Airport, defenseman Brooks Orpik will look out the window and glimpse the landmarks of the city he once called home. He will see the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers, which converge near the inbound exit of Fort Pitt Tunnel, snaked beneath Mount Washington. He’ll see the Roberto Clemente Bridge, the iconic backdrop for PNC Park, where the Pirates play, and Heinz Field, the home stadium for the Steelers.
