Wrestling notebook: Northern’s Breandan Coughlin wins clash of champions

Northern senior Breandan Coughlin thought he could have won two Maryland 4A/3A wrestling titles last year. At the 24th Annual Damascus Holiday Tournament on Dec. 30, he proved he was right.Coughlin said when he finished last season as an undefeated champion in the 106-pound division, he sized up Mikey Macklin — who grappled his way to an undefeated season at 113 pounds and his second straight state championship — and decided he could have won that weight class, too.Read full article >>
