Was testing UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones for cocaine a mistake?

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones entered a drug rehabilitation center on Tuesday after testing positive for benzoylecgonine, the main metabolite in cocaine, on Dec. 4. The Nevada Athletic Commission, however, is now saying testing Jones for the substance, which is only banned “in competition,” weeks before he fought and beat Daniel Cormier was an “anomaly,” MMAFighting.com reported on Wednesday.
