Redskins Blog: Redskins sign linebackers Sapp, Spitler to futures contracts

The Redskins on Thursday announced the signings of linebackers Ricky Sapp and Austin Spitler to contracts.Sapp was selected in the fifth round out of Clemson by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010. But the outside linebacker never played a game for the Eagles. In 2011, he signed with the New York Jets, and spent three seasons there, appearing in a total of nine games. Sapp signed with the Houston Texans in 2013 and appeared in five games for them that year, and three this past season.Read full article >>
