When Maryland lost to Virginia in early December, Dez Wells didn’t cry. Instead, he did what he does most nights: headed home to watch YouTube clips of Michael Jordan on his Xbox.That home loss to the Cavaliers was Maryland’s first of the season. Wells, the team’s veteran leader, missed the game because of a fractured wrist that would sideline him for a month.
