Tigers’ Justin Verlander (triceps) will start the season on the disabled list

Detroit Tigers Manager Brad Ausmus said Thursday that starting pitcher Justin Verlander will begin the season on the disabled list as he deals with a sore triceps.The Tigers open the season at home on Monday against the Twins, with David Price already penciled in as the starter.
