Nats Journal: Today’s Nationals vs. Phillies lineups

Jordan Zimmermann will look to bounce back from a rough outing in Boston Monday afternoon as the Nationals hunt a fourth straight win. The big news of the day is Yunel Escobar’s injured groin, which will keep him out of this afternoon’s lineup and require an MRI today. With Escobar gone, Michael A. Taylor moves back to the leadoff spot. Danny Espinosa moves to third, and Dan Uggla starts at second. The Nationals do not want to make a move for another infielder until they know the extent of Escobar’s injury — if he will only need a couple days, they can wait it out without putting him on the disabled list — so Tyler Moore took ground balls at third base in case an injury requires shuffling.Read full article >>
